Welcome to my RETAIN website. This site has been created to describe the research done by Michael Voicheck during a five week, summer program for teachers, hosted at Drexel University in Philadelphia PA. Over the course of five weeks I have acquainted myself with what research is, how to complete it, and how to fund it. The program has been extremely rewarding, and I look forward to enrolling in the program again next year. |

Each teacher that is involved with the
program is placed in an area of study, with an affiliate professor, and
a doctoral student as a mentor. I was a part of Drexel's Autonomous
Systems Lab with Vefa Narli as my mentor, and Dr.Oh as my affiliate
professor.
Vefa's experience and knowledge helped me get through the five rigorous weeks. Right from the beginning, he let me know what was expected. I am yet to complete my goal of storing the information, but I have learned a lot about programming and microcontrollers. My projected completion date for this project is mid September. |
