My name is Saroj Dayal, known as Sarah by my friends and collegues and Miss “ D” by my students.

I started my teaching career in India in 1973 as a college professor. After few months of teaching I moved to London and then to Saudi Arabia and back to India, but my love and commitment towards education stayed the same. I have a burning desire to help the students in a way that they become the life long learners and “A Success Story”.

My 20th year of teaching career was my first year of teaching in the school district of Philadelphia – Germantown High School. I brought with me an array of experience working with different age groups, cultures and subjects. My multicultural experience had helped me to learn a lot and achieve a lot. Here at Germantown High School I teach Chemistry and Physics and work as a Science Team Leader  . I am constantly trying to make a difference in the lives of the students. After all they are the future of the country.

I have received many awards and have written books. My resume ( for word format click here) can be found on this web site. Saroj

I am very fortunate to have been selected into the Nano technology program at the University of Pennsylvania. It is a very unique and growing field of technology. It has been a great experience working in state of the art labs and with experienced scientists. I feel that every educator should have an opportunity to enroll in the program of Nano-technology and take the knowledge back to their students in order to prepare them for the carriers in science and technology.
