The mission of the Women in Engineering Research Network @ Drexel University is to foster successful research careers for both faculty and graduate student women throughout the school of engineering. We meet for lunch once during the first week of every month. We invite guest speakers to discuss a topic essential to a successful research career, have Drexel faculty or students share their experiences, run a workshop to practice a research or career skill, or simply socialize to build a supportive community. We often invite women in science to join us at our events. Since our founding in December 2007, over forty faculty and students have attended each lunch! We have the enthusiastic support of the Dean of Engineering, Selcuk Guceri, and the Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Equity, Janet Fleetwood.
