Kristine Loh received her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and her Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering alongside a Certificate in Technical Communication and Publishing as a member of the Pennoni Honors College. Kristine is from Hialeah, Florida and in her free time, she enjoys travelling, trying new air fryer recipes, and volunteering for K-12 STEM outreach events. During her time at Drexel, she was heavily involved in student organizations that supported diversity and inclusion in STEM, including SWE, SASE, and A.O.E. Among her many Executive Board positions, Kristine notably served as the President and SWE for a year. She also participated in the STAR Scholars Program as a Frances Velay Fellow, which sparked her passion for research. During Co-Op, Kristine had the opportunity to work for a variety of industries, including positions as a Process Engineer Co-Op at Noramco, Inc., an R&D Analytical Chemistry Co-Op at Johnson & Johnson, and a Materials & Process Engineer at Crazy Aaron’s Puttyworld. After graduation, she will pursue her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities as a College of Science and Engineering Fellow.
Saad Intikhab received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. After completing his bachelor’s, Saad attended Texas A&M University in Qatar to obtain a Master’s in Chemical Engineering. Today, Saad is earning his PhD in Chemical Engineering, with the dissertation title “Interfacial Processes that Govern the pH Dependence of the Electrocatalytic Reversible Hydrogen Reaction.” During his time at Drexel, Saad was a member of the International Grad Student Association, as well as the Muslim Student Association. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing squash. Originally from Pakistan, he was drawn to engineering due to his interest in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and inspiration from engineers who continuously strive toward crucial global problems such as mounting pollution levels or the escalating energy demand. His research interests lie primarily in sustainable energy storage and conversion technologies. Upon completion of his PhD, Saad plans to continue doing research in his field of interest and to build a comprehensive research career.
